You will be working with us, your Centre Manager and Headteacher to tell other children in your school about the amazing things that you can come and try at Pompey Stars.
As a Champion you will get a first look at the next courses before any of your friends. At the beginning of each term we will send you the application form before it even comes back from the printers! We would also like you to take part in our yearly celebration events and produce newspaper articles and posters to help us with our publicity.
We would like you to make your own posters each term advertising our courses and put them up in your school. Remember to ask an adult first.
We would like you to work closely with the Centre Manager to keep the Champions noticeboard in your school upto date, filling out the “our favourites modules” poster and adding some of your own PCU photos to it.
Help the Headteacher and Centre Manager to give out bronze awards and certificates in your assemblies. Remember to wear your t-shirt so everyone knows who you are.
Every other term we’ll need you to write a newspaper report on the last Pompey Stars course that you’ve attended. Your report will then be put in a copy of the Pomey Stars newsletter and will be displayed in your school and also go to all the schools in your area as part of the our Pompey Stars newsletter.
As a Champion we want you to encourage other children to come to the Pompey Stars. You can tell them about the new courses coming up! Remember; when we receive a form with a yellow Pompey Stars sticker on, we will give you 20 minutes for you to put towards your own award!
Help to give out the application forms when they come into school.
Remember to wear your special Champion t-shirt to your PCU courses and for any of your Champion jobs so that everyone knows who you are.
